Old thread, but AMAZING job! I'm doing as Crew Cab long bed Ford in Oxford White that was NEVER WASHED. After claying it for three hours, all the contaminants were off. It was so bad the iron dots began to rust.. I used 501 straight(no 601, didnt have any on hand) and it made it perfectly clean and pop! It didnt make it even close to flawless like you though. It still has swirls galore( but these people would rinse the truck and wipe down with a towel, no soap at least). I'm also thinking that the oxford white from ford is super hard, so that could have something to do with it. One last question. How many section passes do you do and how much pressure? I used speed 5 on a GG6 and medium pressure withj about 5 section passes. When completed it would seem like there wasn't any 501 on t he paint left? Do i need to see a haze after completing the section passes to leave protection behind? TIA

I had used my Meg's DA with a white LCC pad on speed 6. I really worked it in to the point that it was pretty much gone, regardless of how many passes it was. There was very little left to remove. I look at using 501 this way: if I'm using it to clean, then I follow it with something as I figure most of the chemical has gone to clean the paint and not seal it. Easiest thing to do is go over the area a 2nd time. That way it's already clean and now you're adding the protection.

Ah, I did work it till it was practically gone but, I didnt go over again. I did use. Aqua wax the next day. It was a freebie for my cousin anyway. If you would've seen the amount then iron particles etc. the iron particles started to rust..

I honestly don't remember the break down of interior vs exterior. Probably 2 hours inside, the rest outside.
