This is a buddies car, new, but in terrible shape. This car is a sad victim of the dreaded "dealer courtesy washes".

Apologies in advance for the lack of finished pictures. We goofed around all day in the garage, and before we knew it, it was dark and the pictures are kinda lame. But the 50/50's tell the story.

Wheels cleaned with Sonax FE and various brushes. Wheels and barrels now looking nice and clean.

Engine not too bad, but still needed a little attention.

Once in the garage and under the halogens, we were floored at the actual condition of the paint on such a young car.

Grandpas pin striping was first thing on the agenda

50/50 compounding shots. Menzerna FG 400 with an Über MF cutting pad. One to two passes. The little specs in the shots are actually metallic flecks in the paint. This particular black was very pretty once it was corrected. It was like looking into space.

Indeed it is. Good eye. Ive been slowly doing a full restoration on it over the past few years. Its 30 years old, and that little sucker still starts in the first kick. I did a European restore on it, getting rid of those huge, ugly DOT turn signals for the more streamlined European versions. Its been a super fun project.

Thanks. I let it set up for about an hour. On my wife's car, I let it set up over night in the garage, then wipe it off the next morning. It comes off sooooo easy.

So Fast Gloss works well with MF pads?

Great job! Looks like another win for the FG 400 & Uber MF Pad combo. I love that stuff. Again......awesome work!
