my friend called and asked to wetsand the car after he was done painting it. so i took the job using megs 105 and pupple wool pad and megs 205 and orange pad. works great so far started with 1500 paper and finished with 2500 by hand, that did the job. he put good amount of clear on it so it should be fine so far finished quater panel and started hood. coming out pretty good but not perfect due to some deep sanding marks from him here is pics so far
Definitely looks good. Kinda scared me when you said "he put good amount of clear on it so it should be good". I think a paint gauge would be a good idea for jobs like this lol.
doubt paint gauge will do any good if its second coat of paint onto original paint. i dont know how he prepped it and im sure paint is not as even as factory so readings would be all over the place. ill check next panel i do but doubt it will help
The higher end Delsko's will show each layer individually so you'd be able to see how much was there.
nice work. post some pic when you're done. I agree, I cant even begin to dream about getting some paint gauge that costs over $1000.
