You have a picture of how it looks like on your garage door?

Ok update since I installed this my garage is now at 65 degrees and before it was always at 55. I took out the heater last light to see the difference and the $30 I spent was well worth it.

Worth it....... plus you can do the foam panels for the actual door, that makes even a bigger difference because they are R value rated

Also if it gets really hot, or the sun hits it during the summer that makes a huge difference.

Also when gardeners blow against the garage door. No more crap getting in the clean garage! Another thing that seems to be worth it is Griots garage weather seal, it glues on the concrete where the garage door hits. Creates a weather tight seal.

I didn't see the Griots weather seal I'll take a look at that.

does the home depot weather strip attach to the door or to the frame?

The thick side attaches to the frame and the thin flexible side pushes up against the door. It seals that gap between the metal door and the wooden frame around the door when its all the way down.

If the door installers did not get accurate with the install of the metal door track, the space between the door when down and the frame can be from a little to a lot.

This gasket takes up the space so there is no air gap. I have had these and 2 really nicely insulated doors on my garage for years and they absolutely changed the temps in the garage from going wildly high or low, to being very consistent, and able to hold whatever temp you wanted inside much better.

And the absolute bonus of having less dirt and dust blow into your garage and land on your work is why everyone who works out of their garage would not hesitate to do this.

The frame on the out side of the door and they have predrilled holes to. Make sure you seal the edges to.
Thanks Dan for helping explain :).

Can you see any sunlight when the garage door is closed? Builders did the same thing to my garage and I do see some gaps, not enough for me to redo the entire setup. However gasket below the closer & sides are very helpful!

I've tried to throw radiant material on the garage door, but it varies how much sunlight hits the door. Will say it helps that the garage door doesn't touch any open trunks.

I have no light at all. Can you post a pic of yours. I sealed all the edges with window sealant to.

The painter that painted your house looks like he added water to the paint to have more and save money on his end...I hate painters like that.
