for those that have the velocity channel. next week they are taking what looks like a rolls royce ghost or a drophead head coupe to "the worlds most expensive car wash" they show who i think is paul putting wax on the hood and tiff saying how surprised he was with the results. episode premiers next wednesday at 8pm est. they never say paul dalton and i dont know what he looks like but they said 8k for the service so i dont know who else it could be
Its not Paul Dalton. It was Paul Townsend, another high-end detailer in the UK. Dammit, It wont let me just put the video in the post. So heres a link to the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_vd6oKKMws This video was well done using extremely useful tips.
Perfect for a beginner to learn the basics! The only thing I think they should have added is local, easy-to-find OTC products that people could use on their own. Showing a $600 buffer kind of turns people off from trying to keep their cars clean.
boy i was way off.....thats not tiff and thats not dalton....no more posting after a long day in the garage for me lol
not to mention that expensive Swissvax. the video was short but cool. i need to get my hands on that wool wash mitt he uses.
$8000... wtf who pays that much for a detail. I don't care how much work is involved that's retarded.
All they're saying regarding price, is that he is charging UP TO 5k "to wash a car" (as in detailing it, with multi-step polishing etc.) The mitt being used is a CarPRO wool mitt, I also use one now and then, pretty good product although not as flexible as some of the "normal" dual-sided ones from e.g. SonĂ¼s.
