As of late, I've kind of been more drawn to silicone based dressings only because the water based ones seem to not have that pop I'm looking for. I am not a huge fan of the thicker gel silicones, but the meguiar's hot shine spray is a less gooey one that IMO looks pretty good and doesn't sling too bad either if you let it dry for a bit before taking off. I've heard good things about eagle one's too, may have to give that a try.

any other I'm not thinking of that you guys like?

I prefer a satin finish on tires...not a high gloss.

Water based dressing seems to be able to be topped without gumming up - unlike silicone based ones.

I'm with you, don't like blingy tires. Opti-Bond Tire Gel suites me fine.

Silicone dressings for me = stained concrete, stained clothes, oily rubber, eventually removes all they black silica in the sidewalls leaving a nice brown finish..
Yeah, this was all the rage what 20-30 years ago when there was not many water based products out yet.

I can go either way just deopends on the tire really. Water based is nice and easy to clean up but it wears off fast. For some clients who only are able to get their car detailed say twice a year leaving them to runaway with something that will wear off a couple days later doesn't seem to well LoL. I prefer a very light sheen myself or matte finish. Not to fond of the super wet glossy look.

got a sample of prima infinity......... It just replaced Opti-bond and VRT. goes on easy, no drips and has a very consistent matte finish.

I like the clean matte finish but I know some people like shiny tires. I have both on hand just in case.

When I was in high school I found this tire shine that was an aerosol. It was pure silicone I think. It left the tires so shiny but would dry to the touch. Wish I could remember who made it. I remember I thought it was the best thing ever.

Have you considered TUF SHINE? Supposedly, you can build it up to the shine you might be looking to achieve. The biggest bonus—over the silicone based dressings—is that it won't f-up your clothing should you rub up against the tire. I've not tried it yet since I have to deplete or trade-off almost a case worth of More Shine.

It wasn't stoners. The can was black and silver, it was a company that made a lot of care care products I might have to google it because now it will bother me the rest of the day

I like a good shine too, but have recently switched to using VRT for my dressing of choice. I actually mixed it 1:1 with water to make it last longer and after I apply two coats of it, it looks good and doesn't have the side effects of silicone stuff.

Miracle Glaze and Majestic Solutions Quick Details if you are looking for HIGH SHINE but no sling.

I use Stoners More shine less time on my Truck, it really soaks in good on the Nitto Terra Grapplers where as other dressings have not soaked in and have actually sort of over time become splotchy.

I buy it in the spray bottle, and pour it into a USplastics with the grey top. I can control the spray pattern better and just mist it on, wait 10 minutes and buff off the excess. Looks great and actually lasts awhile.

I use this on my Jeep's raise white letter tires specifically for that reason. No greasy sticky oily stuff, dries hard like a clear coat and doesnt rub off on your clothes. I hear you can keep applying coats of it to change the level and gloss of the shine, but I dont do that since I am have already passed through that phase in life.. :)

It lasts longest of all the probably half-mile long trail of products I have tried over all the years..

Majestic Solutions has one called "Mr Natural" shiny and dry to the touch in a minute or less, the draw back is it will eat up a trigger
in no time if you don't rinse it out afterwards. It's also flamable.

Not a fan of the "shine" I far prefer the warmth that you get with a water based dressing.

i use eagle one on my work van (company paid for the tire dressing lol). it works pretty good i guess but sometimes tricky to apply, kinda dries in one spots and doesnt in others even after zep purple wash
on my car i use carpro perl or black fire tire gel. both work great for me
