Hi Guys, This one was by far the toughest interior that I have done so far. And if you've seen my posts, you would agree with me as well. I have done my fair share of interiors and this one just put up a HUGE fight. It was relentless, didn't want to give in to my detailing. I think in the end it was worth it, for the turn-around. I put Dusty'ness' in the title because the interior was covered in it. And this was not your typical surface "floating" dust, it was the stuck on type. The owner had his own bucket of detailing supplies in the trunk, but hadn't looked after the vehicle for more than 5 years. Didn't have time to devote to the car. I also found Charlie Sheen's signature in the vehicle as well. More on that later in the write up pics. Here are the pics. Great turnaround!!! Everything turned out great, but I really like how the leather condition improved.
Looks good man. I have had my fair share of interiors as well including a disgusting one that we did today. I would much prefer to do exteriors then interior jobs LoL
My fiancee' owns a 2006 Jetta and I hate cleaning it. Why? I don't know but it's so annoying. And of course, she always lets it get bad before it needs done.
Thanks Gianni. I too was shocked at how glossy and shiny the seats were at first. The rinse bucket I had for the leather seats had to be thrown out and refilled after each seat because the water was that gross. If I kept it for all 5 seats, the water would be dark black and worst than extractor juice...lol no kidding either Thank you soCal. The products in the bucket were not boutique items. Some of the generic stuff you can get OTC, and this one didn't have the gems either. Haha, thank you for commenting, Tyson. I like both aspects, a little variety is the spice of life. Thanks Joey for the compliment, i would like a side of poutine to go with that please. =p This is how they come to me and I got to git-r-dun No choice. I hope you took my advice and returned that steamer which you picked up from CT Thanks Todd. I asked the client how he liked the result and he said: "better than any job I could've done"...lol I hope so as well Yup I know what you're talking about. The carpets in VW and Mazda vehicles are HORRIBLE. Thanks Vlad. Let's see some write ups from you man! The leather was cleaned and treated with Lexol twins. The remnants in the back seat were given a little OPC to help loosen off and remove. I went really light on the conditioner. Yeah maybe. But I don't know what you have to do to get the dust and dirt to stick to the surface like that.
Great work! I love seeing this kind of turnaround on "normal" daily drivers over the luxury and exotic cars that normally get posted. Would you mind sharing a list of equipment and products used for this job?
