I originally detailed this car back in '09 after the owner purchased it, which was covered in rail dust at the time. Since last being detailed the owner has done a few mods, including the new wheels which I coated back in January right out of the box. He also had the roof pieces painted black which gave the car a much better look IMO. However, the body shop had not wet sanded the pieces and they had heavy orange peel which he wanted removed. Overall the car was still in great shape and the rust blooms had not returned, though I hit the car with some IronX anyway since we only clayed it back in '09. Process: Wash - Foamed with OPC/CGCW followed by 2BM wash and CGCW Wheels - P21S Gel and various brushes Tires - OPC, dressed with Hyper Dressing 3:1 Clay - Blackfire Clay and M34 as lube IronX - Decon Wet sanding -1500/2000/3000 by hand Initial Correction Step - D300/MF on the GG6 (M101 used on wet sanded areas) Finishing Step - Optimum Polish II/Crimson LC on the GG6 Exhaust tips - Optimum Metal Polish Protection - Optimum Opti-Guard Before pics Wheels had not been cleaned since I coated in January Texture of repainted roof panels Sanded Wheels beading/sheeting nicely IronX going to work....a few areas did turn purple even without visible rust blooms Light marring
Great job! looks wonderful. If I were that owner, I would DEFINITELY have someone paint the inside of the headlight housings black as well!
