Im about to get a set of BBS LM's for my gti (used) they have a little less than 10k miles on them. Right now the lips are just the "brushed" look and i was wanting to polish them whats the best way/polish to get. The wheels have tires on them already so if possible a good way to do it without having to take the tires off :headbang:I dont mine taking the face off the wheels though cause thats something i can do on my own I figured after polishing them a good wheel wax to seal them or should i do something else... current wheel wax ive been using is Autofinesse mint rims
wheels are not here yet... I want to achieve a look like this on the lips... ive seen lots of videos and how too's just wondering if anyone has done this
They can be either a clear coated, anodized, or bare polished aluminium (using a metal polish will turn the cloth black if the metal is not coated) in which case different types of polishes are needed for each. 1. Bare (uncoated) aluminium; remove any grease with a d-limonene (citrus) based cleaner P21S® Total Auto Wash. Use Optimum Metal Polish and a Mother’s Powerball and then wash with P21S® Polishing Soap 2. Clear coated; Wash surface with P21S® Total Auto Wash, remove any brake dust / tar and then use a polymer sealant 3. Protect surface with Opti-Seal Mask the tyre and the inner matte black paint with painter's masking tape
when i re-finished my wheels, i used a bunch of different products. I saw the best out of PC Polish compounds applied with a PC
