Washed a clients car today that I dried with a blower and wiped down with zaino Z6. But, I had a hard time getting a streak free surface. Does anyone know of a QD or spray wax that they have a very easy time using that will dry clear with no film or streaks?

    Thanks!

Where you in the shade? Most qds ive used have been streak free as long as its not in direct sunlight.

Ive got chemical guys v7 right now, Its a qd/spray sealant so i wouldnt recommend using it as your go to qd cause its 18 bucks a bottle, but its streak free. Ive also used CG's LUBER as a qd before in a pinch and it actually works really well, streak free as long as its not too hot and in the shade.

Im going to do some more research into other QDs as i havent decided on one yet, im looking into Chemical Guys and Adams

Hmm, primo, need to take a look see, the reviews on Chemical guys Full synthetic slick QD are really good, supposed to be super slick and its pretty cheap. I do love m v7 tho.

I agree. Prima Hydro won't streak plus makes the paint really pop.

Poor Boy Spray & Gloss is still my go to post-wash/pre-dry. I swear, I think I have tried them all (except Prima Hydro which is now on my list). I have to agree that heat/sun is the key for any of them working well. Any kind of direct sunlight, or hot paint, and they streak/leave residue. In those cases, when its inevitable or no choice, I use a QD solution of ONR or DP Rinseless Wash&Gloss. Found those best on the show field when you need a quick cleanup for pollen/dust pre-judging and the sun is beating down.

Another vote for Prima Hydro in that application. I also really like Prima Slick as a general QD. I've seen a number of other QDs streak to a degree but I've generally put it down to too much product, some sort of incompatibility between the LSP and QD or weather conditions.

V7 gets my vote, 16oz is $18 but I got the gallon for around $36. Never had a problem with Dodo Juice Tropical Mist either come to think of it

I just don't really use a whole lot of QD's. Those are ones I have time with.

AutoGlym Rapid Detailer does the job for me. Even in the sun I haven't had any issues with it.

Come to think of it, I've never had issues with Adam's Detail Spray, I remember that product would just disappear almost instantly.

Thank for the other suggestions, I really need to find some stuff that works for me, because I don't have an extra 30 min after a wash for a client to go over and wipe the paint down. I may just start using distilled water and a couple clean Uber plush drying towels. I need to experiment!

Both are super easy to use and leave a great finish.

Optimum QID. You can dillute it with water 3:1, which makes it VERY COST EFFICIENT @ $15 a gallon...Works very well, #1 on my list.

Currently using FK425, diluted at 1:1. I get no streaking and the slickness is good. CG P40 detailer is also a good one.

That is my primary QD at the moment. I have used Adam's and 3D's Final Touch but neither have come close to Optimums QID. I mix it at 3:1 with DI water as well.
