    Hi.

    The products I am using/have:
-Menzerna Power Gloss (Yellow Pad, Speed 5)
-Menzerna Super Intensive Polish (Orange Pad, Speed 5)
-Menzerna Super Finish SF4000 (Green Pad, Speed 5)
-Menzerna Power Lock (Gtechniqe Black Pad by Hand)
    -Griots Garage Random Orbital
    -Uber 5.5" and 4" Pads

I spent 3 hours doing the rear of my car (09 Dark Grey Sentra) to get about 85-90% of the scratches removed, but does this seem to long? I started to do pillars and near the gas tank but it seemed like I would use Power Gloss two times and the rest of the products once and end up with some scratches still there. These scratches are your regular swirl marks and random scratches you see people removing with ease. I hear that Power Gloss shouldn’t even be needed as it’s a heavy compound. Am I using the wrong color pads for the product? I am applying enough pressure I believe (max till you notice the pads is not rotating). The whole process today seemed annoying, like I wasn’t going anywhere, I fee; the products are right, but the way I am applying them is wrong perhaps. Should I swap the Power Gloss for M105?

***ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!***

    Other Questions:

How often should I be cleaning my pads?
How should I be applying product to the pads? Example: X, dots, spread with finger?
How much of the defects/scratches should be removed using Power Gloss to give me an idea to move to Super Intensive Polish?
How many times should I be passing up and down/left and right?
Is there a specific pattern I should be going at?
I hear you are suppose to wait till the product comes translucent to wipe/buff off, but it seems like after a few uses of the orbital and its translucent is this normal?

M105 will finish down better than Power Gloss, some finish cut faster with Power Gloss but they usually cut about the same. If you dont have M105 and only working on your cars then I would wait until you are running out of PG before you buy M105. If the time is really killing you then go ahead and buy some M105 you may be able to skip the SIP step and move right on to SF.
How often should I be cleaning my pads? I usually change pads after cleaning them a couple of times, if you have plenty of pads and dont wish to clean them right away then as soon as your cutting ability seems to be fading then move on to a new pad.

How should I be applying product to the pads? Example: X, dots, spread with finger? I usually use three or four dots, press them onto the paint several times spread out over the area I am working in that pass.

How much of the defects/scratches should be removed using Power Gloss to give me an idea to move to Super Intensive Polish? That depends on the hardness of your finish.

How many times should I be passing up and down/left and right? You should keep working your area until the polish brakes down and you see a difference in color or consistancy of the polish.

Is there a specific pattern I should be going at?
No just make sure you are working the area evenly.

I hear you are suppose to wait till the product comes translucent to wipe/buff off, but it seems like after a few uses of the orbital and its translucent is this normal? It should not hurt to make another pass or two just to insure that it is broken down completly. Polish will brake down differently on each finish, huimidity rates, buffer speeds, pad selection and pressure applied.

Thanks, I see alot of people using M105 than Power Gloss. I can go out an buy an 8oz M105 for $10 and give it a try. Are my pad colors right? If I purchase M105 use it on a yellow pad?

If I understood you right when you use M105 skip the SIP step and go to Super Finish?

How long does it usually take to do a rear of a car or like one door on average?

M105 + Surbuf R pad is the combo you're looking for!
Finish down the m105 haze with Menzerna Power Finish on green uber pad
Jewel if desiring a superior gloss with 85rd on a blue uber

I dont have Power Finish and dont want to buy it since I just bought those 4 bottles in 32oz. I dont have SF4500 but have SF4000.

I called few placed like Autogeek, Chris @ eShine and few other places and they say that M105 and Power Gloss is basically the same.

A lot of people use power finish with uber green as a 1-step process.

The products that I have M105, M205, Power Finish and Ultrafina.
Pads, I have Uber Yellow, Green, Blue and Black, surbuf pad for more aggressive scratches.
I bought a few Optimum mf polishing pad to try.

I clean my pads after every panel and remember to prime the pad first. When your product start flashing, wipe and check the panel.
