Anyone tried the Surbuf pads? I just got my order of them in, and they don't look or feel like microfiber. Almost feels like fine plastic fibers. If I hear bad feedback, I'll send them back and get the new Über pads.

    Thanks in advance.

surbuf pads are great but what is your application?

Just basic M105 stuff, and 1Z PP. The fibers just feel kinda funky, nothing like my Meguires or Optimum pads. They don't feel as soft. Just wanted to get some insight before I use these on my car this weekend.

    Thanks Phil

what color is the car you are working on? what is the condition? surbuf is on the aggressive side.

It would be for various cars, but I'll try them first on my truck which is silver. I'm glad you mentioned they were aggressive, I was thinking that from the feel of them. How do you think they compare to the new Über pads?

I reach for the surbuf when I want to knock something out, surbuf and m105 is what i like on hard paints. (later model black mb's)

Ok, I'll give them a fair chance then. But I'm on your site now ordering the 6.25" Ubers anyway. Can't have too many MF pads.

Personally I only use them as a last resort. They finish somewhat decent on hard paints but on soft - medium paints they create a lot of micromarring and haze.

    Surbuf are amazing pads.

But Ive had hits and misses with M105 + Surbuf. Some times they dont like to get along right off the bat, sometimes they work like a charm.

And when they work, they DO work son!
