A new client sought me out as he picked up a "CPO" vehicle, the car had some issues and he thought maybe I could make it look better................. well I feel I exceeded this mandate just slightly.

I started with a thorough wash and also scrubbed the top material as it was in bad shape.

No protection at all present, later I would utilize CG Fabric Guard.

Cleaning areas that had probably not been touched in years.

Onto the paint correction phase, as the rear bumper had been re-sprayed the shop who did the repair must have run out of tape to properly mask the rear wing..............lol.

Jeff from Immaculate was also in on this job.

Still during the cutting phase, water spots, scratches and over-spray removed.

    "A" Pillar 50/50.

    Trunk 50/50.

Megs M101 was going thru the defects "With the quickness".

    Whole hood compounded.

As I was getting thin on M101 until my next shipment came, had to use "Regular M105" lol. Cutting through re-sprayed door which had some shrink along with heavy marring, cutting wool and DeWalt was utilized.

    Color, gloss and clarity restored.

In addition to the dry and scratched finish, the trim was dry as well. 50/50 after cleaning the cowl before dressing applied.

Great work as usual Bob. With that Porsche looking better than a brand-new one of the lot ... why buy it new? I think buying a CPO and having an excellent detailer like you working your magic is the way to go!!

Another awesome tag-team by Bob and Jeff! That car looks great now, even if you did have to resort to "lowly" M105 for the correction....

This is such a fantastic detail. Wonderful work.

May I ask how you treated that beat up trim? It looks like new

    Excellent as usual Bob.

What a lot of people don't realize is that detailing a car is not like detailing a car. What I mean by that is that every vehicle is different and it's only after you've done a few of them, that you can really specialize in them. Bob obviously has worked on quite a few Porsches, so knows exactly what nooks and crannies are often "hidden".

awesome work! If you don't mind me asking, what did you use on the trim to bring it back to life like that?

Used a low duty solvent(Tarminator) and 303 on the trim, this one one of those jobs where you had a guy who wasn't bringing me a super "Monied up" car and it had some issues so Jeff and I did what we could on the exterior only to stay within somewhat of a reasonable budjet.

Paint correction is what most will see on a job like this especially with the color being Red, but it was those little things I focused on to really bring the car back, the client was thrilled of course but he told me his wife was really brought around as when they came in for the estimate she was NOT on board and thought I was charging a "Arm and a leg" but when she saw the car that day when he came home................................turned her around "With the tightness".

As you could see the trim was bad, but cleaning it is key before the dressing goes on for the satin look.

It should be noted "Mingfreeness" was maintained throughout the entire process . :giggle:

Jeff has been a BIG help recently, and even though the write up is being built I thought I would throw up a few pics of this car........as he is chomping at the bit.
