CG Monster v Stocktowelsnow question

Getting ready to send off the Xmas list to the family and had a question for the group.

I've been using CG Monster MF's for 3+ years and have been very happy with them (aside from the PITA removal of the sewn in labels).

Reviewing my options I noticed the thread count, color, trim, etc for the CG Monster MF's are the exact same as the STN Ultra Plush MF's.

Both are 550 g/m2.

I'm a fan of CG, but if I can get the same product at a lower cost (per dozen) I'm all over it.


Does anyone have insight as to the CG Monster v STN Ultra Plush MF's?

I have some CG ones and have some from STN on the way. Should be here next week. Pm me next week and I'll let you know what I think.

They are the same thing.....

 

ever since I found that website I've wondered that .. some of us are throwing out OBSCENE amounts of money for these "super high quality" towels that I feel I can get for a lot less in bulk from sites like these .. have you actually tried these towels ?? I'm going to place an order in the near future to give a few of their towels a shot to compare them to my "designer towels"

Both towels are the same I ordered from both sites and all have the super-towel label.
The only difference is Stock Towels are $10 cheaper + shipping and handling, while
Chem.Guys are $39.99 + shipping. FYI. the towels look like they are out of stock at
stocktowels. Sorry. The plush 440 gsm. (16x24) Red and Green also are a good deal.

This thread is brilliant. I believe similar to whey protein, microfibers are contracted out to a producer that makes a batch and then it gets labeled with a big name and people dish out big $$ for the brand name. Its like buying a no-name generic vs. a big name at the grocery store.

 

16"x16" Extra Plush Terry 530gsm Microfiber Towels - Blue (pack of 10)
Same as the cg but a lighter blue.
I was able to get 70 of them when they group buy for $20 for 10.

 

I found these to be a slightly shorter nap. They are identical to the Pakshak Big Boy.
