    Hey guys,

I have a customer who is dropping his car off for some over spray removal. I will be using an aggressive clay on the whole car but for rubber trim around the windows I don't think it will work.

I'm going to give OPC a shot with a brush but if this doesn't work what else can I use? I was thinking maybe M105 by hand or a Magic eraser?

Because rubber trim is porous, you typically cannot get it off with clay. A mild solvent solvent may work. It will depend on the type of overspray and how long its been on there. Stronger solvents may be required to remove it but may may dull the sheen found on most rubber trims. You may have to dress the trim afterwards.

I've recently had good luck with klasse AIO applied with a damp piece of cotton toweling on rubber trim.

APC and a tooth brush or detail brush. Magic eraser works good too just don't press to hard. I have heard WD40 can also work. I would definitely dress the trim after cleaning.

if its totally destroyed, it may be worth paying to have it replaced if its replaceable.
