Permanon coming - maybe maybe not?

SO easy to use, I think its a good addition to your inventory.

 

i wish they would carry smaller sizes. i don't want to spend $100 on a 500mL bottle when im only using it at 5% dilution.

Still haven't used my bottle of Platinum yet but I've been hearing very inconsistent durability with it.

Like richguy66 I still haven't used the Permanon Platinum I bought. As he notes the durability reports are varying widely including some claims of only a few weeks. It might be wise to let the dust settle.

Nope. It's the whole thing where before you buy it there are little secrets they don't tell you on how to take care of it and once you buy it, they tell you you need something else to take care of it.

 

Majestic Solustions has a similar product called Enviro-shield. Cooter was nice enough to send me a sample, will have to wait till car gets back from the shop to see durability

 

what is the secret to maintaining it? I agree, it needs to be sold in smaller amounts............

 

you can't use a gloss enhancing, wax infused car wash. I think that where the durability issue comes into play. I use Werkstat Auto Body Wash and get way more than 2 weeks.

 

ive used CG daily wash, some stuff Ken gave me, and I have some adams I plan to use.... im going on 6 weeks on my wifes car and no issues.

Can you use a detail spray on it?

apparently you have to wash it with only water and the best way to apply it is over no other coating, apply it to bare clearcoat for maximum adhesion.

 

I will get more at some point and would look here first.

 

Yeah, i was really carefull about removing anything off the car... washed it with Dawn, then wiped down with IPA. Seems to be doing fine, I usually just foam the car with the afore mentioned shampoos, then wash it if needed with a wash mit etc.


But if its just washing off with basic methods then ill just go back to Glanz, and save my money....... but im going on 5-6 weeks now from the initial application on the hood, then 3 weeks later did the rest of the car and the wheels. Seems to be going strong.
