Got a call from one of my clients saying he has a cousin that's in need of my services. Don't you love word of mouth? Anyways, after chatting with this new client for some time as he was a car guy like myself. We came to the conclusion that a paint correction just wasn't in the budget, but a full exterior decontamination and seal is the way to go. Received the car at 8am the next morning and got straight to work on the interior. Interior was in good shape and received a full wipedown and vacuum. When the interior was dialed in, i pulled the car back out of my "Precision Detail Studio" aka the garage. The vehicle had a good layer of grime seated nicely on the paint surface. But besides that it was relatively clean! Rim's before Overall vehicle Dullness Some remnants of another detailer trying to 'correct' the rear trunk out. :yikes: Door Jambs were complaining that they never see me enough and when i do i never listen to them. So i decided that they needed a little attention as well. Got to work starting at the wheels and tires. BMW pads make for great Sonax shots Then... Midway through my wash process i had my business partner show up late! Then he just sat there like nothing was wrong. Kid's these days... Tried giving Santiago a pep talk mid way process. But he just wasn't having it, he barely lifted a wing to help! Me and Santiago are no longer talking... Rim's cleaned up After the pre rinse process it was evident that there was a total lack of paint protection. This is NO BUENO Anything that was there was stripped... Pulled the car back inside to start the sealing process. Decontamination is crucial Getting artsy with the photos after the vehicle was clay barred Vehicle was then sealed. You can't forget about the crevices where you can't really fit a DA polisher. After the sealant was applied... But wait there's more Lusso Oro Applied on top of the paint sealant to add that extra protection and depth Trim pieces were restored and vitalized As were the tires... Yes i did 50/50 shots of the tire dressing. :giggle: Glass cleaned and the car was done. Onto the after shots. I know huh, "finally..." Not a bad contrast from before Interior tidied up Pulled the car to my street corner Santiago signing off... Thanks for viewing! -Tim
Ok, I've been married for way too long. I had to scroll back through the photos to look for said Milf. Good eyes Sir!
Thanks guys! Santiago has been fired. Lol. I knew someone would notice the Milf. Good eye! She is my next door neighbor who just happens to strategically go on walks right by my house while i'm detailing cars.. :shead: About the trim. I first went over it with some APC 5:1 then an IPA wipedown. This was followed by an initial coat of Black Wow. After that i came behind with a QD spray and MF towel to wipe off any extra. Followed that up with a second coat of Black Wow.
Late to the game. Awesome working on this 10+ year old car Tim. The E36 has timeless looks. Now that it's restored it's luster it's sure to continue turning heads.
It is funny how some "People" will just float away........out of your life like "Santiago" who was late for work cavorting with a "Monarch" hottie the night before, also I understand Tim he was not too good with paint correction(Needs to go to the gym and get his upper body strength up a little) as he was having a hard time picking up the buffer............. I cannot wait to do a tire dressing 50/50 pic....................it's the new "Hotness" Tim(Lmao). :tiptoe:
