I just crossed off another to-do from my list. I have always worked in shops with horrible lighting. Now I had the time to fix the lighting in my own shop. Yesterday I installed two 8' florescent light fixtures each one holding 4-4' bulbs. I installed T-8 6500k bulbs. In the existing light fixtures I installed florescent coil bulbs that are also 6500k.

    Here are the results,

My garage is fully insulated including the garage doors. Also the backs of the doors are white and reflect the light nicely,

My next project is a galvanized work top for my bench next to my tool box. I'll post pictures.

So let's see what your working on...

Nice Garage, I really like three car garages, but I'd the like the one with 2 side by side to be joined into 1, that would really be perfect, especially for detailing.

Yes, I agree. There was another house down the street that has that set-up when we were building this one. We chose to do the three doors for a different look... Now I'm wanting the one big door... Oh well... Next house.

    Thanks!

Ha ha... I have you fooled! I have all the junk hidden, such as a pile of wood scraps from the shed I built this summer, my table saw, mitre saw, some yard waste... It's a work in progress.

Nobody has any past or present projects to show us?

Ok, here is what I did yesterday. The metal guys called and said my work top was ready for pick up. Nothing fancy just a piece of galvanized steel with a 3/4" lip on the front.

I had installed the cabinets ~ 1 month ago.

Here's the top installed. Yes, this is the condition I picked it up in. An alpo/phosphate bath would have been nice...

Cleaned up. They told me to use vinegar to clean it up... it worked ok, tried some APC... didn't do much, tried some TSP... work ok, finally took the 0000 steel wool to it, worked like a charm.
