I have someone locally who would like me to fix this problem below.

I have a fairly simple question about it.

How? Would products and what process would be able to solve this issue, or is it even 100% possible without a respray?

if its sandblasted, it is going to probably be needed to be resprayed, if you can see the primer, or even the plastic that is. You can diminish it, but not by much.

...whats worse is that sometimes if the road rash is reallly bad, polishing could actually make it look worse when sun hits it. Unfortunately Kilo is on the money, respraying that front end is really the only complete option.

And make sure you let them know its from riding too close to other vehicles in traffic.

Kilo will confirm that a lot of Subaru owners think that Subaru paint for example is just so bad that it just spontaneously erupts...(some people drive too close :))

Totally agree - looks like Highway 405 in the rain, too close to the car in front of you, for 1 year up here in Washington, and you will have that sandblasted look.

Does this car have a clearbra on the hood? It doesnt look touched in the first picture...

Polishing this out will in some cases, cause the paint to flake out more in some of the bigger holes, and when you are done, it will be shiny, but full of tiny holes where the paint is gone.

You could apply Dr Colorchip to all of it and it would look a little better. It is a nice product in that you just dab it all over the area even as big as this one, flatten all the paint into the holes, wait a certain amount of time, go over the area with their other liquid product that will further fill in the holes, and remove the paint from the painted areas, and it will leave the holes filled, and shiny. Wont be perfect, but this is way, way, cheaper than a whole front bumper sand, prime, and paint job.

    Good luck with this.

sometimes insurance will pay for a respray, I got my IS350 resprayed and if I had planned on keeping my STI, I would have had that resprayed too next summer.... its considered/ falls under vandalism under state farms definition.

LOL @ Mike, yeah, one day you go to look at the front of your SUBIE and its blasted, it can only take one truck to do it.......

Thanks guys, that is pretty well what I thought, but I wanted some extra minds that know more than I do to take a look at it.
