Russia to Alaska Tunnel

Yes you read right, Russia government has approved the Russia to Alaska tunnel.

What does this mean for us, New Yorkers will theoretically be able to drive to London, England but just going the wrong way around, B.Cer's will be able to to CapeTown, South Africa but the only problem is that it will take 15 years to complete just the first phase.


This is mainly to transport goods between the two countries but theoretically can also be used for human transport by car.

65 miles under icy arctic water in a little tube....... that's gonna be one crazy expensive tunnel to build! People get bored with boats??

I work in the Valve Industry. We were just contacted today by the US Gov regarding this. This Project has just just just started to take off.

 

I'm so looking forward to finally driving to Pakistan without the need of a ferry
