Are they? It seems like there are some many paint enhancing products that span the range of a basuc detailer to a spray wax so how many do you need where varying degrees of gloss, durability, slickness, etc are possible. This applies to many product sellers.

  7. 2StepsAhead

    2StepsAhead Virgin Detailer

Wheel Armour, Sonax Wheel Cleaner and Poorboys Wheel Sealant

Reasoning: Wheel Armour doesnt look like it offered any protection, it dried immediately and came off dusty as hell...couldnt tell a difference on bi weekly washes, tried out Poorboys Wheel Sealant....better but stil overpriced imo...if I ever finish this tub Im gonna go back to using Insulator Wax or Rejex. As for Sonax Wheel Cleaner...just didnt do anything special for me except changing colors...it seemed very weak, not that I expected it to be crazy but for the price Im gonna go right back to my A2Z wheel cleaner. I need to learn more self control on the hot item of the month reviews on forums lol.

I noted why I did not like it, i am looking for looks balanced with durability and a cost factor. I am not going to knock CG products, I like allot of them, and for many people they work well for.

    Blacklight....... poor durability/looked great though
Jetseal 109......... poor durability/looked great though
    M105..... liked powergloss better
    Maxisudz2..... foam party, minimal cleaning
Luber........ worked great, cost ineffective when it came to useage
Bare bones....... greasy runny stoners trim shine was better.
Menzerna...... finishing glaze, removal was not as easy as other products
    Prima clarity..... Stoners is better
Prima Nero (used as tire dressing, runny and did not give even results)............. great for interior, but Megs interior D149 is far better and a better value.
Cquartz.... long cure time, and was not easy to buff out, wasted about 20 brand new MF towels LOL
Sonax, great on german cars....... worthless to me as a regular usage wheel cleaner. CG sticky gel or APC is better.

    Hey bro,

I will be ordering a new compound soon. Is the cut of powergloss more than that of the M105? Which finishes better?

Autoglym SRP: I didn't care for the application, or the lack of durability.

Gloss-It Polishes and their Gloss Finish Sealant. Poor performers overall. Polishes did not correct very well, and both the Polishes and Sealant just weren't worth the price.I paid. Definitely better options at reasonable prices out there.

Optimum Polish II, and Optimum Finish. I think they've been revised since my purchase, but the ones I purchased separated and no amount of shaking made them go back to a normal consistency.

Finish Kare's Pink Wax. Solid wax overall, but there was no need for it after I tried out their FK1000P.

Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant. Streaked on most cars I tried it on, most noticeable on darker colored cars. Much preferred Menzerna's Powerlock, very similar to me, but without the streaking issue.

Meguiar's Ultimate Wax. Had the same issue as with the Blackfire, although unlike BF this issue seamed to go away after the car is washed a week or so after application
I haven't completely given up on this product yet, but it didn't give me instant gratification.

Chemical Guys Green Clean. They have better options than this when it comes to APC's.

I find it funny that you say you like Sonax on German cars. That's actually all I use it on now haha. Two Audi's and a Porsche. I figure they should work together, and it certainly has been like that for me. Granted the wheels probably would have come out just as well if I had used ONR and my MF sponge I dedicated to wheels.
