Just curious if anyone here had used the chemical guys paint correction polishes and how you liked them.
No but I would defiantly like to give them a try after seeing Marc Elsworth do this with them
Marc is the only one I kno who uses it. you may or may not get the same results. I will stick to Menz, Megs, and Opt for now.
Its not as hard as many may think it is. just start with a light polish and 5.5 blue uber pad at 1200 rpm or lower for practice. keep the buffer moving at 1 sec per 2 in ( depending on paint ) with no pressure on horizontal surface. once you get a hang of it, do the same on vertical panels with some pressure to keep the pad on the surface or else it'll jerk, throwing you around.
ok whats like the max speed you would ever need to use? There should be an instructional thread for this.
theres no instructions, every car is different. I seen speeds up to 2100 rpm from pros on some hard clear coats. 1200 rpm- 1500 rpm seems like what most use to correct paint.
Every product that i have that CG produce has been a joy to use and nothing but fantastic finishes if used correctly.
