Can this measure say vintage vehicles with wood panels? I assume it can measure all metal types?

 

The PosiTector 200 is not meant for metal panels, it wont do metal at all. This gauge is more for fiberglass, composite (SP?)...ect..ect...as for wood panels, I haven't done it my self but I have measured the clear on my guitars so it should work on a vehicles wood trims...but like I said I haven't tried it on a vehicle wood panel :shead:

 

Might just be with my crazy memory, I usually feel paint panels and can tell which are plastic/metal by the temp. I was referring to say cars pre 1970's, will have to look into it.

This meter really seems built for other areas of Detailing like Boats/Aircraft.

 

PosiTector 200 to measure the thickness of paint and clear coat on a carbon fiber substrate.

The PosiSoft software will work with the PosiTector 6000 and PosiTector 200.
