that's one nice looking Z. Like someone else posted ... the 370Z looks so much better than the 350Z. I have heard that exhaust before ... pure sex!!
Xan nailed it, nice to see some 370z peeps here! Thanks for the nice comments guys. I agree, I wasn't even looking at Zs since I was not a fan of the 350z but once I test drove the 370z, I was hooked! I still need to get some video of full revs, but this is a cold start of my car: Thanks David! I was just looking at your website, really slick design. The gallery is awesome!
Christian, you have a real eye for photography. Your shots are great! The cans on the exhaust truly make the back of that car just jump. The wheels add a lot too. Glad to see the CQ is holding up well for you. It has for me as well with my Canadian winter.
Looks awesome mate, love the colour Has the cquartz been helping in reducing washing marring with the onr? I'm going to start my cquartz app today, just doing my bonnet first to get the hang of it I went on a cruise with our local z club recently, brought back memories of my old 350 Check out the vid one of the guys made, I'm in there at around 1.05 [VIC] Labour day cruise - Pics and Vids - Z Club - Australia's Largest Nissan 370Z and Nissan 350Z Forum
Thanks Richy, much appreciated! I am trying to keep it classy, I love the OEM sport package Rays wheels and with a set of 20mm spacers, makes them sit more flush with the fender. So Cquartz saw you through winter then, how is it holding up at this point? Thanks for the link, I enjoyed watching the video! I have found that Cquartz definitely has some anti scratch properties that resist marring. My test bed has been the super soft black B pillar covers on my Z, both were polished and only the passenger side was coated. It has significantly less marring than the non coated cover. Also, I coated half the roof to test it on paint and it is the same story as the B pillar covers although after 6 months of ONR washing and the car sitting outside does mean very slight marring is hard to avoid. All vertical panels that were coated are still 100% marring free still. Btw, it must've been hard for you though being outclassed by Zs and all, did you struggle to keep up with them?* :thumb:
I drove with the handbrake on :tiptoe: I didnt get a chance to start applying the cquartz on the weekend because it was wet Looking forward to not cringing everytime someone shuts my door or brushes against dirty paint
Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. We still aren't getting a lot of sun yet, but when we have had some, the paint just shimmers. Still as easy to clean up as anything.
Haha, but seriously I looked through the pictures as well and your GTR looks absolutely stunning. I still haven't tried a scratch test on a Cquartz coated panel as I don't have any painted scrap panels but I truly have found it reduces wash induced marring. Make sure you apply enough: it should almost look like you over applied it but once it hazes, it makes it much easier to remove than if you try to apply it as sparingly as possible. Exactly my experience too, it feels like the day I applied it. The only thing I don't like about Cquartz is that the coating itself is not very slick for the first week after coating. Once you use Reload or any other quality QD/SW on it, it starts to get slick.
That's interesting, I remember Aquartz being slick after coating but what a pain that stuff was. Reload V2 is amazingly slick, it really compliments Cquartz. Thanks! It is definitely quite the view up there.
