You can't order opticoat without waiver from chris at optimum or you're a part/full time detailer

Anyone try C5 Wheel Armor from Gtecniq?? Read a review on DWUK and they gave it high praise

I tried Prima Wheel Armour and didn't care for it at all, so far I am liking Rejex and 845 has always done well for me.

    Hi guys

I brought my wheels back to my apartment to start sealing them ahead of install next weekend

Ive used pretty much most of what has been suggested in this thread. Colly 845 and 476 did work exceptionally well, 476 more so. The only product ive found that visibly reduced brake dust, and only marginally, was WheelWax - both CG WheelGuard and PB WheelSealant is almost identical in texture and app, so im betting they all share a similar make-up

ive just received Opti-Seal so going to use that for the barrels as they are clear coated, and going to go Z-AIO + BF Metal on the clear coated lips and layer it each day. Then once theyre on the car ill start layering WheelWax after each wash

the wheel centres are a heavily texture powder coated finish, any suggestions here?

X2 sexy wheels! IMO use a spritz of opti coat on the textured area and blot with microfiber. There is no residue with this product and pretty much be bombproof. I have been using it on my polished beadlock wheels that have S$#!t loads of bolts surrounding the wheel and I have found a spray and walk away product to be the best.

For me C1 or C5 are the best options, Bilt Hamber's AutoBalm is good too to prevent rust. :thumb:

like the op suggested, collonite is a good choice. I like to use JW prime, followed by AJT. it hols up for months and keeps them easy to clean, with soap and water. also had good luck with Ultima pgp as it is super easy to apply to wheels and lasts a long time.

so he didnt end up continuing the review past 3 weeks?

id like to see a proper durability review as most paint sealants will last that long pretty easily

Have it on my wheels for 13 weeks and cleans up with soap and water.

I've always used the Klasse Twins. Once in the fall and once in the spring. In between each application I use regular car wash to clean the wheels and never had a problem with brake dust build up.

Before polishing and sealing the wheels, I take the wheels off and use Sonax Full effect to clean the entire wheel.
