Finally got a chance to work on my friends 2006 MB E350. Honestly car was trashed as far as paint was, owner didn’t know about 2 bucket method and used MF wash mitt to wash the car. He got tired of looking at this black paint in this condition so he called me. I only did exterior paint correction and was not there for when car was washed (apparently that morning car wash dumped with flour and water mix from one of his friends as a joke so he washed it and called me). So onto the process. Car was taped off after it was dry, used whole roll of 3m green tape on it. Tried couple combos on trunk but PFW pad was only thing that made any difference so I went with that for whole car. After it was hit with Menzerna SIP and orange pad and followed up with Menzerna 85RD on Uber blue pad(black pad equivalent for LC brand). After it was wiped with alcohol mix and sealed with Menzerna FMJ due to time constrains. After car was rinsed and dried to remove polishing dust. Here are results Before during correction after compounding half the door hood After
Looks great! Makes me want to start learning paint correction stuff...hopefully I can this summer though!
