So in celebration of tomorrow's growing up day. From: 19" x 2 + 24" To: 24" x 3 And heres the old stuff with the box of the new ones:
i have 1 main desktop, 1 desktop that is used as fileserver which is hooked to my main through a gigabit crossover, and the macbook in my room. I do have another in the living room and all networked so I can actually watch stuff from the fileserver there (atleast that was what I intended at first) and 2 other laptops which are used by my sister and mother. All 3 screens are hooked to the main desktop and the furthest right is also hooked to the fileserver as well for when I need to do stuff on it. and ofcourse the macbook is for on the go (its also good for programming believe it or not) Believe it or not, I can actually use all the screens especially with all the code/references I have opened at times along with OS Virtualization. It also helps with photoshop when I need references opened but that I can generally do on 2 screens. So yeah daily usage, its instant messaging + IRC on one monitor along with any other media files, middle for browser and documents, right for torrents + my german server stuff (shell/server status etc). I'm also more for high pixel density, I was gonna opt for 1 really high resolution 27" but the color just didnt look right so i just went for 2 24"s.
thats a sick logo in the second picture! do you know who's it is by chance would really like to get some tips from that guy wonder what your doing haha
Porn in HD never looked so nice ey? i had one of those acer 23"s before as a 4th monitor and it simply didnt work out for me on 4 so i sold it lol how you liking the colors? I think it was probably one of the best bang for the buck LCD monitor like last last year out there but just the brand is sometimes a bit sketchy. I also need to replace my G15 sometime as the LEDs are failing after taking 2 spills of beer, a few spills of tea and water, a spill of root beer and a spill of coke in its past 5 years.
I got the 23" LED ones on sale at Newegg. The colors were very "blueish" out of the box but they adjusted out just fine. I've had the 22" on the left for a couple years no and 0 problems whatso ever. I've been really happy my Acer monitors.
I run 2 graphics card off my motherboard or you can opt for ATI/AMD Eyefinity setup with 1 monitor on display port
No wonder Kyoshiro is the man to go to with Info. tech. questions. I can barely handle one screen! My little laptop's cheeks just turned red in envy.
im running 260GTX + 8800GT, found no need to upgrade yet rfinkle2: yes you now know my secrets, I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST NIGHT ON THE INTERNETS
Nice Set-up, my friend has a problems writing java on his MB Pro but that's just one more reason to laugh at him. I think the max side by side screens I could go to is two (24"), maybe three
Sweet setup kyoshiro, I miss my multi monitor setup Just don't really have the room anymore. Do you do any muti monitor (ultra widescreen) games? Nice choice on Samsung too, they never let me down for LCD's
