well so much for wasting time doing it in inventor but im pretty close i guess


so flex backing plate is 4.25" not 4"


so you still cant use 4" pads with this plate. dont see point of getting it then

 

btw. those pics of plate is just original plate shaved off. you can still see ribs on side of the plate so most likely its not prototype. hope plate actually gona be 4"

 

WOW.... you're right man. Look at the picture before the last picture.... it is just the original plate with the edges trimmed and smoothed out. I am really hoping this new BP is 4" AT the most.... 3-3/4 would be perfect for 4" pads....

Otherwise, if it's 4-3/8" you can pretty much scrap the idea of using it for 4" pads.

 

these are the photos and specs I was given I will confirm with Bob at Flex.

 

Thanks for a ton of effort Misha. You may have everything you need to create your own prototype. lol

 

I'm really crossing my fingers that this BP is not more than 4"...heck even at 4" flat it would be a bit risky to use on 4" pads. To be safe this thing should be no more than 3-3/4" in my opinion.
