Ok, I have all three....... bought Opt PC on a whim to try it out. Is it me or are they all pretty much the same thing?

What really seperates them? I am in the process of determining which APC I will stick with.

What are your guys thoughts? Is Megs any worse, better then Opt? What makes Opt so much "better" or is it preception?

Is opt. better for interiors vs. megs? I guess that is what Im looking for, a product for cleaning leather, carpet, plastics etc. One bonus is Opt. is truely safe for exterior paint surfaces.

Any and all imput as always.

also Imput on D103 vs. D101. Is one better then the other? what if any are the differecnes?

i do think most apcs will act in the same behavior, however from poor boy's apc vs 1z blitz, i have found blitz to be better than the pb one in cleaning power, pb felt more dilute in most cases. I was actually gonna order some opti powerclean to try out as well but didnt in the end.
Tell me what ya think of it and i'll probably order a gallon depending on comments to replace both these APCs or atleast the PB APC, the 1z blitz has a good smell to it.

What i like about OPT PC is that you can dilute it to the strength relative to the job at hand... lately i've been doing a cut of 3 to 1 and its works well.

    I haven't tried the Megs yet ..

I used Opt the other day on the leather of a MKX, it was not as grabby and did not leave as much residue as the D103 Meg APC. So that in itself is a benifit. But on interior plastics it was basically the same. I used Zeps to do the fenderwells and engine compartment.

Its just hard to justify buying Opt for twice as much as D103 if it dilutes the same and ends up doing the same job. NOW with that being said, is D101 any different the D103? If it is, and is more gentle then D103, Opt is a better value since you only buy one gallon vs. two to do two different jobs. Thats what Im looking at.

But again OPT. PC is supposeldy 100% safe on exterior paint, while Zeps even if diluted could and I say could because I have not heard of any issues.. or experinced them myself. I would say Opt is a good product simply for that reason alone.

Megs dilutes the same, 4:1 10:1 etc....

I get my Megs products from ADS in Arizona, its like 15.00 vs. 30.00 for D103 vs. Opt PC.

I have used both and give the nod to Optimum. I feel Megs leaves too much residue after rinsing and doesnt clean as well.Kyoshiro is not lying. My go to is 1Z Blitz. I get it in the 10L containers and it cleans EVERYTHING from pads to microfiber to door jams, wheels, paint whatever. Get a 1L of Blitz and a 1L of W99 from Phil to give them a try. You wont regret that 30 bucks:thumb:

I like OPT PC better because it cleans better and rinse off easier. I haven't try 1z blitz but when im finish with PC, I'll get some from phil to try.

I had not even thought about 1z, ill have to look into it. Ive noticed that about Megs, it is rather stickey when wiping down

The Blitz on interiors is like cockpit premium on steroids and without the UV finish. but so much more versitile with uses for the rest of the vehicle. as well as quite honestly whatever you might want to clean. I have eliminated quite a few things from my arsenal since discovering this gem. You will like it Josh. On a side note, my humble shop will not run out of Power Clean either.

Ive never used 1z products. I really dont need to be trying more stuff to create more confusion either LOL. I may have to check it out though

I haven't used 1Z Blitz, but love 1Z Cockpit Premium. I have had Meg's APC+, Simple Green, and Zep Citrus, but those are in the past for me. My go to is Optimum Power Clean for a couple reasons but mainly because it's paint safe even at full strength. Until someone makes an APC that matches it's cleaning ability, safe for all surfaces, and is readily available in the US, I don't see myself using anything else. In fact I'm getting ready to order 5 gallons of it. :)

^ I did not know it was paint safe at full strength, that is a Plus right there. I think Ill be phasing out the megs APC when its done and stick with OPT. PC, sounds like the safe choice.

I honestly dont know. I have heard nothing but great things about SGS but it costs so much in shipping its not worth it to me. I get a 10L of Blitz $90 including shipping from Cali. I get OPC for $29 shipped from Jersey and SGS is like 15$ with $20 for shipping from N.C. at that rate I honestly dont care how good it is Im not paying that. Josh, Folex is the one for me as well for tough stains. Zep High Traffic as a pre treat when I extract, for no reason other than it smells nice after an extraction saves me the trouble of buying all sorts of odor bombs and neautralizers LOL

Yeah shipping was expensive but I bought 3 gallons worth of stuff so the 15 shipping cost wasn't that terrible.

  18. Try this test for a comparison. Clean a tire with whatever you have handy. Clean another on the same vehicle with Power Clean. If you still need more proof clean the first tire again but with Power Clean and see what the other stuff left behind.

that is a good test, ill try it out this week. But Im pretty much sure, for me atleast. That Opt PC is going to be the go to product for me. Im tired of having 3-4 products laying about LOL.

And the fact that OPT PC is safe for paint at full strength is important to me. plus it cleans down real nice.

Here in Raleigh NC, I get Majestic Solutions Tidal Wave, 1:1 for engines, 10:1 for interiors and it's 15 bucks a gallon. I think they do some on-line biz but it's one of those call and place an order.

Personally - Tidal Wave is the one cleaner I would NOT do without.
