The worst part is that I'm already done with school. I'm just visiting the city and it happens to have a school down the road.
Years -I mean years ago when I was one hell raising redneck - as opposed to just a redneck! Me and a buddy went to the late show to see Reefer Madness - classic old guv-ment propergander film. Well, a bunch of bikers thought it was cool too and the whole damn theater was sold out. We walked the 2 blocks back to the car (my brand new white 1980 Z28) and some douche bag had hit the back bumper on the passengers side hard enough to bust out the tail lights. Problem was, we weren't in the best state of mind to call the cops. So, knowing we'd just get hassled, we left and I replaced the light assembly myself, remember when cars were easy to work on. The paint wasn't too bad and actually buffed out.
Nice! Unfortunately this is down to the plastic. I do have some scrapes on my hood from something that can be buffed out though.
Damn dude, sorry that happened to you. F'ing people nowadays. I would love to catch one of those bastards one day that ding my car.
You'd love to ask them why they don't care. You spend thousands of dollars on something, you think people would take better care of it.
That stinks Josh, it hurts to see a fellow Z owner get stung like that. It seems like the more you care about something, the more things happen that conspire against you.
Sorry to hear what happened Josh..... Something similar had happened to me a while back, this idiot in a F250 DENTED my passenger door, he flung his door open so hard that it actually put a good size dent in my door while i was SITTING in my car. I got out and the asshole didn't say a thing, he just ran inside the store he was going to. Needless to say I left marks on his car he won't soon forget.
That sucks man. Just today I saw some lady try to parallel park her car in a space about the size of her car, hit the car behind her, and just leave. I'm in high school, and take better care of my car than anyone in the parking lot...therefore I've started parking in the very back corner of the lot, where no one ever goes. I counted once...15 spaces away from the nearest car
I got my car back today! The body shop did a great job. It came out absolutely flawless: From this: To this:
Yeah. He said they took the bumper off the car, repainted the spot, sanded and then recleared the entire bumper and then put back on the car.
