So my fiancee and I come out this afternoon to go out to lunch and find this! I'm thinking it happened last night while we were at Outback because the spaces were a bit tight. This is probably the only other time I've parked next to another car because I usually park away; and they didn't even leave a note: So not cool!!! There is a guy down here in Tampa who does first class work. I'm going to see what he would charge. I'm thinking since it's such a small spot that he may be able to spot paint and blend in. We'll see what he says. If it's more than my deductible, I'll just file a claim.
It just happened to me too. I even parked away from the meat of the parking traffic and when i came out i had a similar scratch of my pristine 2010 crv.. man was i pissed... but what car we do ? nothing except take a deep breath ,remind ourselves its only a car (as i'm crying like a baby) and have it fixed so the next prick can do it again..
Same thing happened to my mustang gt at an Applebees here in town. But it was far worse so I feel for you. Good thing I have uninsured motorist coverage. It just sucks though that some people don't have the decency to leave a note or a card with their contact information.
Hey, sorry, that really sucks. It happend to me as well a couple of months ago. This is what met me when I came out from a birthday party (2hours)
Someone asked me the other day, why do I drive my suburban to the store............ this is the reason why. That really sucks that people dont have any respect for other people and property.
Cant express my sadness Josh. That sucks, Im a huge fan of your car BTW. Most people lack the artistic soul of the detailer/car freak and just dont give a shit. I always try to park in the middle of nowhere but it seems like hack cars are like crows and are drawn to shiny objects regardless of where I park. Sorry to see bro on such a very nice car. Fix it move on and hope the next time you actually see it happen so you can choke the bitch out.(Sorry got a little angry there)LOL :itsok:
It's horrible. Maybe they just didn't feel it hit ya know. If it was a bigger car, truck or SUV, they may have not felt the bump; it is slight damage after all. I don't know though...just trying to look on the bright side I guess. Chances are it's going to cost more to repaint than what my deductible is...maybe not though if they can spot paint.
Thanks man. On top of that...I also noticed some scratches on my hood...like someone placed something on my hood and then dragged it off. It even left some transfer. Fortunately they will buff out without a trace.
Usually its housewives who can't get off the phone or put down thier starbucks, disgruntled people who don't like those who have nicer things and more money then them and are just plain jealous. Most college students I know are fairly respectable, note I said "most".
That so sucks Josh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to hear that you fell victim to such a cowardly douche bag..
Josh, Be careful with spot repairs on bumpers. You will see a paint shade difference in your bumper (especially at dusk). To be honest with you, I would rather touch up that area than paint the entire bumper and see a larger paint mismatch.
Yeah the guy I want doing it is a true pro. He has done two cars of my family and both have come back flawless.
That blows man, I really hate to see things like this. My sister hit somebody one time like this and I forced her to leave her info, otherwise she would have been one of those cowards. I hope it all works out.
Sorry to hear that about your Z. People at school are douches, I have a habit of inspecting my car after class and cringe at the idea of their car dinging mine. My longest streak without a ding was 10 months.
