What pad can I use on FLEX XC3401 to apply wax?

    Hi fellow detailers,

    I got a few questions:

    1. I was wondering, what type of pad is the best to use to apply wax or sealant?
    2. I am using the BFWD sealant and Collinite 845 wax. I also have the Collinite 476 wax, and was wondering if it was at all possible to apply that with my Flex?

This will be my first time using a machine to apply wax, is there anything I should know? Is it just as effective as doing it by hand?

    Thank you so much!

    1) Which pads do you currently have? If I do decide to apply a sealant, I use either the gray or the blue Uber pad. In many cases though, I don't find that applying a wax or sealant by machine is necessary better. It certainly enables you do put down a thin layer, but it's easier to miss a spot using big pads. Just my opinion though.

    2) Sure, you can apply any wax or sealant with a Flex.

And to answer your last question: I prefer applying an LSP by hand. I don't find that applying it by machine really saves that much time. This is taking into consideration taking out the machine, and having to clean the pad afterwards etc.

Im a tech/toy freak so i use my PC for it if i get the chance, but I actually do it by hand most of the time as well....

But if you are using Uber pads from DD, the black one labeled sealant or wax is what works, other companies vary by color etc.

I use, as mentioned over here, the Black Über pad when i apply Wax or Sealant by machine.
    Workes great.

I use a blue LC CCS pad to apply sealant/wax. I find its much easier to apply a thin and even coat.
