Yeah, seriously. Over the summer, our neighbor wanted me to detail the inside of her Honda Pilot, 130K and NEVER cleaned, they have 3 kids and 3 dogs. I was only being paid for 3 hours worth of work, so I did the best that I could with the time and materials that I had. This did not turn out as well as I would have liked but as is always the case it seems, the customer was absolutely thrilled with my work. I actually didn't post this after I did it for that reason--this is not a great example of my usual work but it was just so filthy and I had so little time that this was all I could get done. But I got bored today, so here ya go: Materials: Megs APC, 10:1 and 4:1 Various brushes Shopvac whose brand name escapes me Stoner Invisible Glass Loads of Costco microfiber towels And now for the pictures. If you have just eaten or are eating, you might want to stop here. THIS was nasty. It was old cookies or something, when I caught a whiff I nearly vomited... All the crap in the car... And now afters. Once again, keep in mind I only had three hours to complete this, so it's not as nice as I would have liked it to be. Thanks for looking. Clark
Given the horrendous condition of the interior and the time constraints I think you did a good job. This is the exact reason I hate doing soccer moms cars! Gross...lol Sent from my DROID2 using Tapatalk
for 3 hours work well done. that thing was gross. thats how most of the interiors i get around my area are. but the thing is people think that it shoiuld only cost 50$ and every stain should come clean lol
you're braver than I. I would have told them to take a hike if paying me for three hours. "how about you pay me properly, and I spend a day on this...since you haven't spent more than 5 minutes on it in 3 years" lol! nah I couldn't say that, but I wouldn't have started my vac up on that piece of junk for 3 hours labour. getyourself a steamer! makes cleaning those cracks and crevices of switches and vents a dream
Right when I am SURE I have just finished the dirtiest interior of all mankind, you come by and raise the bar tremendously high ! After seeing the filth, and it is after so long and so much, filth, in this vehicle, I hope that you had all your shots up to date, and that you are not feeling ill... You see garbage like this and you just have to wonder - what's it like inside their HOUSE????:gasp::gross: Great, great work for the measly 3 hours you had to wrok with -geez - guess they dont want it to be too clean; they wont know how to act ! :shakehead: Dan F
See, this... THIS!... is why I don't do interiors myself and that I have my *cough* employees *cough* do it. lol. Congrats on having Gonads of steel my friend! :applause:
Three hours is 3hrs... They got what they paid for. Having said that I think you may have the opportunity to get them to do more work on that car.... This detail project is not over ^ Joey ... "Congrats on having Gonads of steel my friend" TO FUNNY !
Good result for the alotted time. Don't be so hard on yourself. The owners had a standard, while not yours obviously, they were satisfied. Good work.
Marco I wouldn't of done that at all man for 3 hours of work. I would have told them I'll do it but only if its done correctly meaning a full day for about $200+.
I've seen several vehicles like that here and I always think to .myself, how can people sit in a vehicle that is that gross or even have kids in there. Nice work, they really should hire you to do a thorough cleaning though.
Being a mechanic, I see cars like this all the time. It is hard to fathom how people can ride in cars like that. You did a great job, for the short amount of time you had.
Wrong Rusty, Danny. I would have run from that job, but props to the other Rusty for doing such a great job in such little time. :applause:
Looked like a bomb went off in there! I've worked on some nasty cars and that is right near the top for most disgusting. Nice work.
Thanks everyone for the comments and compliments! I've been feeling down for a while and reading all those really cheered me up Yes, looking back I should have charged more and tried to do more, but it was that or I wouldn't get the job and I needed the money. As for the inside of their house...they have a cleaning service come in, but the rooms the service don't clean are pretty bad. The owner said that it looked like new when I was done with it. I want to know what new cars she has been looking at. In a bit I'll be detailing my friend's Camaro, which is as bad as this car, maybe worse. Just once I wish someone would give me a nice car to detail
