even if u pay me double i will not do another one!
i know the infiniti paint is soft but easy to finish nice.
this paint on nissan gt-r is a pain! a big one....so soft and weird.

i did one step only SIP on meguiar`s polish pad and Flex DA , but with long run and slow movement ... took me forever plus when i try to use any final polish on a test spot i mess up the finish left behind by SIP ?!...i FAIL.
took me 2 hours and 3-5 combinations to fix the test spot where i try the 2nd step ( finish step)
i try : 205 , 3m ultrafina , prc , finish pad , polish pad , 3m blue pad , g110 , flex da lower speed , hi-speed , NOTHING! SIP was only thing that work at least to get it close to better finish.
anyway the car is better than before but still need some work.

mine wasnt anywhere near that bad from delivery, and if it were, id probably have given it to a pro first up, then maintain it myself

i got about 95% defect removal using 203S on white LC CCS, and then just slowing the DA down on the last couple passes

i couldnt use 85RD, it just dried on the paint instantly and chalked up

once i got the product and pad combo sorted it was pretty straight forward, the only thing that hit me hard was how much panel surface area on the car - where typically id divide a bonnet into 3, i did it in 6 on the GTR

also, i went through more than a dozen 16x24 towels as the clear got so soft under the halogens, even wiping product residue was re-introducing micro marring

since that correction 6 months ago, ive been maintaining with paint cleaners/glazes and anally wash with pre-foam, 2bm, alternating sponges to minimise swirls knowing how soft the paint is. Though even then, some paint cleaners have proven to be quite sticky on the paint, namely JW Prime

next correction for me over the holidays will be one stepping with 106FA. Ive already done a test panel using a white 4" CCS on my wing and it goes on and comes off as easily as 203S so it should be a bit easier this time around. Plus knowing how soft the paint gets under heat, i wont sit there correcting with the halogen on the panel, ill use it to just inspect my progress

    Awesome work Cosmin!
Haha so much for the "Hard Clear Coat" tag under the hood of these GT-R's!

That would completely drive me insane. I could not own a vehicle where the paint would cause me to hae a mental breakdown.

Is it worse than BMW Jet Black?

im doing fine, just cant use 85RD - the newer 106FA finishes just as good

besides who here would let the paint get that bad to warrant such a stressful correction anyway
