Anybody use this? It is billed as:

Use Body Solvent on tar, gum, sap, bug splatter, oily marks, and wax stains on vinyl trim. The gallon container ensures youll have enough to remove every unwanted spot from your vehicle several times over, and still have enough left over to do your neighbors car. Body Solvent is ready to use and VOC compliant.

If your instant bug remover isnt cutting it, try Meguiars Body Solvent. In just 30-45 seconds, your vehicle will be clean and bug-free.

How does it stack up against Tarminator or other tar removal products?

    Thanks!!

Never used it myself, but if you search around, its almost universally hated. Most people that have used it say its very weak and doesn't remove much of anything.

Yeah like the other's have said. I have a gallon of it and have not been all that impressed with it.

If you would like a sample to try, PM me, I can send you out some.

Thanks for the offer, but I will take your word for it. Sounds like crap product.

Body Solvent does work, but not as quickly as other alternative products. It was designed to be a safer alternative, and because of this may require more dwell time and possibly multiple applications when compared to competitor products.

Dwell time sucks. I was told 20 minutes, then whatever doesn't come off, to repeat the process. Being mobile, hell, being a detailer, I don't have 30-60 minutes to wait for a product to remove tar. It is a horrible product if you are in a pinch for time. I still have near a gallon sitting on my shelf that will never get used.

Bubble gum scented water? Yea its terrible stuff. Go with 3M adhesive remover or Tarminator.... I personally dont like to spray tarminator on a panel and let it run. I prefer to spray it on an MF then agitate the tar spot directly.
