They actually tested this on MythBusters and they couldn't replicate it. As well, the creators of the original video contacted them and said that it wasn't real. Still a cool video, regardless.
Ya that's what I thought. With the velocity and projectile angle he hit that little pool at, he would've went through the pool and smashed the wooden platform.
