Applied 1 coat on July 8th. No prior layers on the car, everything was stripped off and it was machined on clean finish. Powerlock stayed strong through daily driving and many rainstorms. The last few washes I found the beading to be dwindling and finally yesterday I saw it was time to re-apply as the beading while still present, was not very strong. So from July 8th - October 4th, with daily driving and having only 1 coat of product I have to say I have put powerlock through its paces and its one of the best sealants out there right now. Extra info. Car was kept up with weekly washes using Lusso and topped off with quick detail spray once per week (as every weekly wash should end with a QD wipedown). Sometimes I went 10-12 days without a wash due to working on other cars etc. Car sat outside many nights as well but mostly garaged. Most impressive part to me was that I only had applied 1 coat, 3 months ago. Thumbs up from me:thumb:
Nice 3 months off 1 coat is pretty legit. I wonder if the same results will be attained here in Canada....
DSMS is in jersey, not very far from where we live I'd say the results would be similar. I love working with this product, it's easy on, easy off. Thanks for the update.
Great update - I applied 2 layers on a friends car on the july 18th , still beading nicely, sheeting isn't super fast though(but never was). Kind regards, Ebbe
I've been very happy with durability thus far. One coat was applied a bit over a month ago onto my wife's car- never garaged, and we've been getting some good rain here in the northeast. Beading is keeping pace with the day it was applied. The fact that it's so easy to apply and remove has me sold on using it over and over rather than switching over to something else. Thanks to dsms, it was your posts earlier in the year that convinced me to buy Powerlock.
Thanks for the update! After hearing all the hype about it I bought some, I've been really impressed with it so far! I want to see how it lasts on my car, which only gets washed every few weeks and is currently being parked outside 24/7 for an indefinite period of time.
