sorry to hear that . . . . . . bu those units are not meant for everyday/hard usage. They are meant for very light occasional work.

I was never able to get those Karchers to work for me. All 3 i bought were defective straight out of the box and i never dealt with them after that.

Beg, borrow or steal the cash and get a Cam Spray. Don't go cheap on equipment.

We borrowed the father inlaws Karcher K2.26? model (1500 psi, 1.3GPM). He had purchased it a while back and used it once. We used it for 30 minutes or so on the house and then it sprung a leak. It was out of warranty so I promptly took it apart and found a molded plastic elbow (where water exits pump and connects to sprayer) had a hairline crack (cracked due pressure). Found an online place that sells the parts (shipping was more than the part) and will try to repair it.

Bunky..the elbow on my old Karcher broke twice...both times my fault. They are easy to disassemble and the company can walk you through any confusing parts.

    The unit is very simple.

In fact, the pump is just one assembly and then 2 extra pieces: one where water goes in) and one where water goes out. The on/off switch looked sealed as well as the AC cord inlet. The rest is just the front/rear housing.

It was a hairline crack (maybe 3 mm long, 1/8-in.).

I have not heard much good of these cheap electric pressure washers but after playing with one they did seem nice. We have a gas one but it is just a pain to move around plus you deal with the gas and noisy.

    Agree.

The pump / seals on a Karcher are not meant to be heavy duty

To be honest iv never had a problem with Karcher, some people seem to paint them up as the devil but mines lasted a good few years of use. I dont use it every day but usage isnt infrequent...

Tool Guru have a pretty good selection of them... karcher pressure washers

first im going to say that karcher and most companies they built the water pressures machines some with plastics pumps and some with alloy-metallic .

if you have a machine with plastic pump the number 1 rule is: every time use filters with your water pressure machines , is very important because they don't allowed any sand and small stones particles to insert the pressure chamber of the machine and damaged it..

    thanks for reading!!

If you go on ebay, you can buy for around $80. They are all refurbished ones but they do not come with any warranty. Karcher will say people abuse them (leave water in them in the winter and freeze) but what I have noticed (used one) is that the fittings etc are all plastic so you have to be careful.

If one does fail in warranty, you are sent a refurbished one.
