A daily driven, high mile Acura TL in Gray was in definite need of attention. This is a more in-depth detail, with head and tail light restoration, full wheel treatment and even refinishing of the stock, rusted calipers! We did our best to document everything from the paint correction to the repainting of the calipers. This driven car, now looks showroom fresh!

    Products used
Meguairs M105 and purple wool pad
    Menzerna 106 and green pad
    P21S Paint cleanser
    P21S Polishing Soap
    P21S finish restorer
    P21S TAW
    Meguairs Superdegreaser
    Meguairs Wheel brightener
Stoners Tarminator (this product is amazing)
    Chemical Guys Citrus wash
    Chemical Guys wheel cleaner
    Sonus Ultrafine green clay
CG maxi suds and ONR mix as clay lube
    CG Jetseal 109
    Rejex sealant for wheels

    Process:
Car was sprayed with citrus degreaser and left on for a minute, rinsed off and washed with Citrus wash, then clayed the car, rewashed and dried. Cleaned wheels with CG WC and exhaust tips were cleaned with polishing soap. After car was washed all trim was taped off. Paint readings were taken, front was reading in 290-334 range microns (same was on white TL that we did, looks like its normal for Acura paint). Did test panel and after trying several combos we went with most aggressive combination because car was in pretty bad shape. After M105 car was polished with green pad and menzerna106. Tail lights were polished with same combo as car on PC. Headlights were wetsanded, polished and sealed. After final polishing, car was paint cleansed and sealed with 2 layers of JetSeal109 and hour apart. Brake calipers were refinished per customer request and were done as last step as we had deadline with the car and needed to take care of paint first. Calipers were removed, degreased and cleaned with metal brushes and brake parts cleaner. Then coated with 4 coats of paint per instructions. Everything was put back together and bolts torqued per Acura specs with digital torque wrench. Engine was washed as well.

    thanks guys
only reason i agreed to do brake calipers is becouse they are pretty much same as my brakes so i knew how to take them off very well as i did that do mine many times
still have couple write ups to do (G8 GXP, 2 Z06 and 240sx) but dont think i will have time today

Nice work on that one, very nice! This would probably make for a good daily beater.

Good work on the DD! What kind of paint did you use on the calipers?
