My neigbour at work had just finished some mechanical work on this car and asked if I would give it a good once over before he returned it. We weren't to do any correction work, just a thorough cleaning and a sealant. All jambs, engine, and crevices in body were cleaned with a citrus cleaner. ( Yes, I'm still testing it. ) Car was sprayed down with AG Powermax3 and washed with CG CWG Tires and wheels were cleaned with AG CWC and tougher deposits were removed with a mild acid solution. Interior surfaces were scrubbed down with AG Hi Tech Cleaning Pad and AG Interior Shampoo. Interior glass cleaned with AG Fast Glass and Exclusive Glass Towels Exterior glass polished with DG Nu Glass and 4" Green pad via PC on speed 4 to remove water spots. LSP today was DG105 x2 Tires dressed with DG253 Tire Dressing As it arrived Both keyholes looked like this. Soaked and scrubbed with citrus cleaner to clean up. All jambs were absolutely filthy. Looks like it just needs a light vacuum! Here are a slew of before's. Some are not suitable if you just ate. Little bit of road tar for good measure. More fallout than you would believe. It was everywhere. The trunk was actually the cleanest part of the car. After 50/50 of what AG Interior Shampoo is capable of Baaaaarrrff! One completed door panel Some completed interior shots Jambs looking new thanks to RG brushes and citrus cleaner Nice and clean inside fuel filler door. Finished wheels look nice and crisp. Car was finished with two coats of DG105
Ken, now that's a detail. Looks great man. White is a paint to photograph, isn't it? What did you use to clean up the hub caps? Glad to see the car cleaned up well for you especially those filthy door jambs. Excellent work!
Awesome work. After you sprayed it with your citrus cleaner did you just wipe it down or did you spray it with a hose?
I thought you didn't do interiors Ken. Hahaha. I hope you slapped your neighbor around a little bit because that's just a pig stye...
AG CWC for the most part and a mild acid solution for the stubborn bits. Spray on the cleaner, agitate with appropriate brushes and rinse with hose. Its not that I don't, it's more because people won't pay for the time it takes to do one thoroughly. This was around 7 hours with no shampooing (except for the two front seats) or compounding.
Man, what a pig sty! Can't believe people actually drove around in that mess...Terrific work Ken :thumb:
Ken, so you were able to use a mild acidic solution on plastic hubcaps with 0 issues? Never thought that was possible. I once again just learned something new.
At some point common sense has to come into play. If you spray it on one wheel at a time, agitate and rinse then yes, you shouldn't have any issues. If you spray it on all four and let dwell while you're having lunch then you get what you deserve!
yeah . . . . figured that. I have never sprayed all 4 wheels before at one time. You could never get to all the wheels before the product dried up anyways so it's a waste.
That's the nastiest Charger I've seen, or at least it was until you got to it. Great job as always Ken.:thumb: You would think the owner would at the very least try and clean up the cup holder area a bit before giving you the keys.
