Idk what y'alls thoughts are, but when I put the halogen lights on the car, there are ZERO RIDS, when I put the LED light on the car, there is ZERO holograms...so you'd say it's perfect...but the sun shined through the top windows of my garage door and only at the weirdest angle (not in direct light, but like in the shadow of the sun) you can see like a hairline defect so thin you have to be standing still at an odd angle to see it....it's long, but the things is....it's like totally undetectable under LED's or halogens....so so weird... anyone else experience this? Paint's black btw.
some defects can only be detected using sunlight, or sunlight equivilent torch - Led Lenser X21...but it's $300...
Never happened to me. Every car I touch comes out 100% perfect :hmph: J/K yea, what you are seeing are probally deep RIDS :chips:
Unlikely it's deep bc you can't detect it at all under halogen work lights, that's the best for spotting RDS. Also no detection under the LED light....or the brinkman, ah maybe I'm just crazy?!?!?:shead: I'll prolly pull it out in the sun and tape mark any missed spots and use 203S to whack em! Then redo 85rd- I'm kinda obsessed with finishing with 85rd even though 203s arguably finishes down as well
Yes. I left what I think are some clay marring (never polished it since the clay) but you can only see it a one specific angle. Once you put on the LSP it more or less disappears. I know (and the only one in the world) it is there. I have since just left it alone for when I need to polish. It is a black car as well but it is metallic so it is less noticeable.
