Just wondering how long do you leave the power finish to sit on the car. Or do you wipe if off completely right after application.
Do you mean Power Lock? Power Finish is a polish. I usually let it set around 20 minutes. 20-30 minutes is good enough. Some have left it on for an hour though.
Leave the Power Finish until you can swipe your finger through it and it doesn't streak. I've left it overnight before and it came off easily the next day.
Ok...I'm lost. Did you mean to ask how long you're supposed to work the polish before wiping it off the paint?
I'm not trying to be a jerk, it's just hard to convey true expression on the 'net. I've recently started using this product and find it to be great. I've just never heard of leaving a polish on a car and would like to learn something new. Sorry if it came off as abrasive, that wasn't my intention.
Its ok man i just started to use it too. so were in the same boat from what i have been told it is better to leave it on the car the whole night and wipe it off in the morning to a better result which in the end that is what im looking for.
Maybe he is talking about leaving it on like a glaze, after its been broken down completely so the polishing oils in the formula can condition the paint. Kinda like using something like Meg's 07, 3M's hand glaze, or Menzerna's glaze. I'm sure that once the abrasives are broken down all you are really left with is the polishing oils that lubricated the polish. Not sure, but its my best guess.
Then why is it necessary to wipe the car down with isop alcohol after you're done correcting? I don't see how leaving a polish on over night before wiping it off will change the results whatsoever.
i think ken was thinking powerlock not power finish . There cant be anything good to come from leaving polish(powerfinish ) on a car overnight .
