The owner found me on a BMW forum. He drove by for me to look at the condition first last friday and we agreed that he'd drop it off sunday afternoon and pick it up thursday am as he was leaving for a business trip.

"I don't want a show room shine, I just want the swirls gone" he said - my quick reply was: that is the same thing! :D

Anyway I told the customer that the amount of money he was willing to spend I can't do 100% correction. Since I know this black paint pretty well, I thought with HD UNO I can get a 90+% in a fair amount of time. I think I ended up closer to 100% than 90%. :)

I did the correction, EZ and FK1 1000 on monday. I removed 1000 tuesday late afternoon and applied MAGIC WAX (THE LOOK WAS VERY NICE AND REFLECTIVE AFTER 1000 but I thought lets see what this combo can create, plus this car sits outside 24/7 ) Today I removed MAGIC WAX and cleaned up the wheels/exterior windows before taking some pictures.

The left front fender & the 2 doors are repaint, and not very good either (but corrected easier).

    PROCESS

    QEW
    HD MILD CLAY
    HD MOTORCYCLE QD
    HD UNO - ORANGE PAD
HD UNO - PFW PAD ON TRUNK
HD UNO - 3" BLACK WOOL PAD (6" scratch the owner asked me if it could be removed)
EZ CREME GLAZE - GREEN PAD
    FK1 #1000 - GRAY PAD
    MAGIC WAX - GRAY PAD

    Onto the pictures

Ladies and gentlemen he is back! Wow man where you been? Looks like business is still going pretty good for you. That black car was hammered and you gave the customer some really good value. Looks like you got pretty close to 100% correction with that and on a black BMW too.

Very nice as always . . . . . that Uno works wonders for you. I still haven't tried it yet LOL.

so is HD UNO masking or correcting - or a bit of both?

i remember reading a few threads a while back saying this stuff was smoke and mirrors

tdekany is a pretty straight shooter and yields some very good results and quality work. Don't think he would use something that masks (basically a glaze)

I have seen some stunning results from him on a ton of different high end cars by just changing the pad and using HD Uno on every step.

Never heard of it masking though. There are also some people on other forums that use it with great results too.

sweet, ill have to check it out

203S worked brilliantly for me as a one stage correction, so im open to trying other one step products

Thank you guys very much!. Vtech I replied to your pm. Didn't get it?

UNO doesn't cover. It corrects. I'll post some pictures in a couple of days to prove it of a MB E350. After a couple of months (I think) the same car is still swirl free.

HD Uno is literally a One step product. I know Menz 203 is what a lot of people use as a 1 step product but i believe Uno is a little different.

HD Uno on a white pad for a light cleanup or HD on a Yellow or Wool pad to tear into some Mercedes/Corvette rock hard clear coats. I think i'll need to order some real soon.

Yeah i got it. Sorry i don't think i replied. Can't remember, days have been a little hectic.

Great work! Can uno be used with a rotary as well and yield good results?

Looks great! Hopefully Sapphire Black Metallic is a lot easier than Jet Black...

I was thinking the same thing. The Sapphire Black Metallic is a gift from BMW just to give the detailers a break from Jet Black. :applause2:

Really nice job, that car looks super duper wet.

  12. You seem to be the only one that uses this product :chips:

What happened to that contest HD UNO was going to put on :help:

nice work. every1 is asking about uno but my question is about fk 1000p. how did you leave this on over night? I use it on my wheels (with amazing results) but i have a hard time buffing off the 1st wheel by the time i finish applying to the fourth. You have no trouble buffing this off 12 hours later?

Where are the defects? Just a couple holograms, no big deal!
Hahah jk, that was an awesome turnaround, great work! I have been wanting to get my hands on some HD Uno, you just reminded me again!

hahaha same here. I forgot about Uno. I need to snag some up. The ending results were crazy. The metallic flake was popping out like a 3d movie LOL.

Not to mention the paint was super glossy and wet like a puddle of ink.

    Thank you again all.

HD UNO works even better with the rotary.

fk1 1000 - I apply it with my pcxp or flex. That way I get a thin layer. I once applied it by hand with a yellow foam pad and biy was I rubbing the paint for an extra hour or so.:catfight::catfight::catfight:

Not sure what happened to the contest. I guess with all the other stuff going on with Autopia etc...

Yeah, this paint is not soft but a dream to work on compared to JB.
