New person needs some help

Hi, I am new to detailing and want to know what you guys would recommend for starting up with detailing my own cars.

And I am not so much asking what products I should use but more what steps I should use because I know I wouldn't use the same as profeshional would.

You are going to want to do A LOT of reading and getting familiar with the products that are used on this forum. Also pay attention to the steps as well.

 

Simple process:

Engine(optional)
Wheels
Wash
Dry
Clay bar
Paint correction
Wash or some other method to remove polishing oils
Sealant
Wax
Final Wipedown about 45 minutes later

Misc. stuff like exhaust tips, interior can be placed wherever in that order.

 

For paint correction, I would only use a random orbital buffer so would this step even be necessary?
