Completed a few weeks back when the "Bing" and Aubrey from Going Clean in Dallas was out in California. Here is Aubrey and Richie prepping the finish for clear film installation. The finish corrected, you will see in the coming pics that the finish was in pretty bad shape. Now that the clearfilm was applied it was time to finish the job, claying the rest of the car. The typical dirty clay pic.................... Deep scratch that required 2000/3000 grit levelling with the trizact discs. Looking good now. Dry scratchness........ Making headway. Compounding the rear bumper. Some 50/50 pics. Dog claw marks...................... not good. A little sanding action. All better. Another 50/50 pic of a corrected panel(not sure if this is 25 or more yet, pics that is...) oh welloke: Some paint touch up work. Wheels dismounted to clean the dryness...... Clean wheel well before dressing applied. Dressing applied(303 protectant btw). Cleaning these pita to clean spokes. "Supercleaness". Cleaned and sealed with Powerlock. Wheel wells with the dressing dried, matte finish tightness. Exhaust looking good. M3 emblem de-crusted. With the top down it was time to clean the areas exposed only when the top is down. Pulled the seat down to clean this seldom seen area, before pic. Dirty trim. All clean. Leather was in need of deep cleaning, 50/50 pics. Sun tan lotion the made it on the seat(somehow?????). Looking good...... Ready to go. Sun pics. So a review, from this this..... To this........
Great work on this one Bob, I'm always amazed how quickly seats can get dirty, especially in a convertible. Lovely transformation.
I have that same microfiber apron. Works nicely. Great work on the BMW too! Question on sanding: Do you always sand all the way up to the body line? Body lines scare the shit out of me when sanding. I even go so far as to tape them off lol.
