Like the title says guys ... I just purchased a gallon of power clean. It seems that 3:1 ratio is good for everything including leather (according to the tag). Do you guys use different ratios with good results? I'm thinking about using this mostly as a pre-soak for really dirty cars. BTW ... do I have to rinse off the leather after using power clean at any ratio? TIA, G
10:1 - Interior cleaning 5:1 - Light to Moderate exterior cleaning 3:1- Heavy cleaning (such as tires, but 5:1 works pretty well if you clean regularly) Straight - Have not had to use ever Pre-Soak: ~3-5oz (depending on lsp) in a foam gun at highest settings has worked great for me. If you are using one of those pressure sprayers I would just use few oz in a gallon of water. As for cleaning leather I would go over all the surfaces with a damp cloth to remove anything left is anything.
Do you use power clean, as a wheel cleaner too? I emailed Dr G and he said they have been using power clean on aluminum for years in motorcycle shops. "Dear Mr. : Attached please find the MSDS for Power Clean. For the past 3 years, this product has been used by motorcycle manufacturers and dealerships to clean aluminum wheels with no issues. You can use it straight or diluted depending on the condition of the surfaces you are working on. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Thank you. i tryed power clean and i fell p21s total auto wash wash a bit more afective.. maybe its just me ...i use taw full stenght on everything .. body pannels motor ect.. works awesome...
Pretty much spot on for my dilution ratios too. When I clean my interior surfaces (they stay in fairly good condition between cleanings), I just take about 3 gallons of warm water in my wash bucket, and add a few splashes (maybe 5 oz) of OPC to the water. Then I soak an mf in the bucket, wring it out, and wipedown the surfaces. Works very well for me.
