well folks i did the unthinkable and traded in the hot hatch speed 3 for a bit more comfortable, fully loaded sport sedan. no regrets, no looking back =] the bill T_T! cant wait to detail it ^^.. mmmm rboe orr concorso.. maybe supernatural XD
Nice ride! Definitely more mature than the speed3 (although that was a damn slick ride too!). What's the curb weight on that summbish?
scweet. its ben a long time since the maxima looked good. the last few gen's were fugly. I seen a white one today with a black roof and it looked good. nice whip. stick or auto?
chas- ill miss the mazda community also yes definitely more mature and refined =] actually its only 3650 ish 0-60 in 5.5 14.5 @98mph Slangauge - Only CVT transmissions on the new maxima's
oh. what are these car companies doing nowadays? doesnt anyone make a true manual transmission anymore. all this revmatching/ computer controlled/ paddle shifter shit. everyone should learn to drive on a true manual tranny. sorry to rant. just had to.
thats like comparing an ipod to a cd tbh. the newer tranny provide better efficiency and speed. where before auto transmissions were just sluggish. technology advances so do peoples wants and needs, the general public dont want stick, the last gen maxima in stick only accounted for 3% of sales.
Only 3%? That's an interesting number. But then again, the US market has never been big on non-autos. In Europe, most vehicles are still manual.
i love stick but cvt is sooo smooth and practical, especially after hurricane ike evac stage 2 clutch+ 40 miles in 4 hrs + its 2am in the morning and going on no sleep because u been packing and hauling ass from the hurricane
Not bad. My 2000 LS is about 3800 lbs. But my car is modded. Which it needs to be. Stock hp was only 252. Now i'm up in the 285 range. But the 4.56's and 3400rpm stall going in this summer will get me a sub 4 second 0-60. Right now it's in the 6 range. Don't know what it'll run in the 1320. I heart my rwd sedan lol.
