    Price Match Promise

It's very clearly stated and always has been btw.

Why is the free goodies on one order and not the second weird? Why should they include 'goodies' anyway. I know I surely don't expect anything from them when I order from them.

If your a big time shop/person ordering thousands or even high hundreds of dollars worth of stuff at a time and they want to through in a bottle of X hey great. But only two orders or my 4, no I don't expect anything from them.

Also, I'm not bashing you with this next statement so please don't take it the wrong way.

But as you know A LOT of us have accounts on the major detailing sites. Including the staff of the venders. If you saw somebody complaining about whatever all the time, you pick the complaint, would you really reward them for that? I don't mean that if it is a real problem that the company not try to help you out. I'm talking what might be classified as a 'loyalty' gift hey you ordered $500 worth of whatever, here have a sample of wax.

My issues has always been the price to ship and how long it takes to get the shipment. I ordered something from the UK at the same time and got it 3 days earlier and I had a delay because i ordered a 14mm instead of a 5/8 thread so they called me to confirm. Also the price is low but they pick it back up on the price they charge to ship. A lot of stuff but very deceiving on price.

People expect so much from companies. I don't EVER expect anything for free from any vendor. To get upset when you don't get something for free with every order is just asinine, and plain immature I'm sorry vtec92civic. "I'm banning Autogeek because they were kind enough to give me a free gift with my first order, but not my second. " Grow up man, the only vendor to ever give me anything for free was Autogeek, but it's not like I get upset when I order from someone else and don't see a free product.

Being in the U.K. wouldn't it have been easier to order from motorgeek? Here in the U.S. we're offered free shipping at least once, or twice a week and 10% off on top of it. I admit, when there isn't free shipping, it can be expensive to ship, but there is also a code for that for us U.S. guys. I don't know, for some reason it seems like it's cool to be a hater towards Autogeek amongst many of you, and your reasons are, IMO, not justified...no offense. I really don't want to stir up drama as this is a great forum, with many great members, but come on....We're gonna cry about $0.70, when it seems like it was paypal fees?

I have been here a short time lurking and enjoying the site and all the information gleamed from it.

I know you started a thread at Autogeek about this customer service issue, plus sent emails and PM's, but did you actually call the customer service number? I had a issue with an order I placed earlier this year and instead of doing a post on the forum or sending PM's or email I actually placed a call and talked to someone. That is the easiest way to deal with a problem. No one knows how often they are checking emails, or logging into the forum to collect emails, but you can call and talk directly to a person who can actually handle the situation with you while on the phone. Plus, it is the weekend and they are closed on Sunday with probably a short day on Saturday.

I used to work in customer service for an e-commerce site and you get a lot of emails while taking calls and we handled them as quickly as possible, but in the eyes of customers it might not be fast enough. I think sometimes we expect too much with this Internet thing.

I know every dealing I have had with Autogeek either placing orders online or on the phone has been an absolute pleasure. Same with placing orders with Detailers Domain and Detailed Image. Great prices, including very nice sales, and fast shipping.

So with that being said, if this were happening to me, I would deal directly with a live person rather then emails, PM's or posting threads on two different detailing forums.

I hope you get a resolution to your issue.

Like I said, I will wait until I receive my order before doing anything else at this moment. Maybe I overreacted... (ok I did) just was too used to getting this next day shipping and immediate response from others, but they are larger and it was the weekend, so I guess naturally it takes a bit more time.

Nothing against them at this moment, just not 100% smooth, but they did have the best prices and the best sale and free shipping to Canada... Small trade off IMO.

I'll move on with my life :p

And although its not big, its $2.70 :p

I don't have an issue with AG as a store , just don't care for their employed shills on their forum. But, hell, it's their Forum so whatever.

I have never had AG price match anything but I would have guessed that they would not toss in free shipping for price matched items unless it included free shipping, etc. That is nice to know.

If you order during a free shipping period and they not only match the price and include free shipping that sounds like a good deal at least from AG. Many suppliers named do not match prices.

I've called Meghan to have stuff price matched. Everything went smooth. I even priced match Dodo's prices in Europe and still got free shipping. A phone call is the best thing sometimes, as I stated in your(op's) thread over on AG.
I love how we get called weird for being over on their site!! Why?? Because we follow the rules? I wouldn't go on MOL and push CG products. There is nothing wrong with mentioning other peoples products, just don't sell them on it. It's their site, for their store. Would golfsmith allow you to stand inside their store and tell people to go shop at golfgalaxy??

All you guys just need to get Autoality to go nationwide lol. That way you won't have to worry about shipping, refunding, or prices cuz they have such good deals.

Now we know the name of the store mentioned above. I checked the web site and I did not see anything special about the pricing being a "good deal". I see CCS pads for $9.99.

Free shipping to Canada is unheard of. I wish I had known about the offer. I agree, the OP griping about this is childish. Does he deserve the money? Sure, if Autogeek said he did. But does it really deserve making 2 complaint threads (maybe more) over 3 dollars? He doesnt realize how lucky he is to be able to buy boutique products and have a nice car with nice paint to work on...
Ive purchased from every vendor in Canada and every US vendor on the east coast that I know of. Any time there have been problems with orders, I have communicated with them and theyve responded within a day and had things taken care of, generally beyond what I would have expected, and Autogeek has been no different. Sometimes patience really is important...:shakehead:

What place are you ordering from that offers next day delivery on the weekends? I sure would like to know, as that could be a lifesaver someday.

My suggestion when you have a "special situation" like price matching is just to call in your order. Someone is ALWAYS there during business hours and there is no need for pain in the ass refunds, they just ring it up correctly to begin with. You are requiring a person to manually override pricing and manually extend a refund anyway, so why not just speak to them and allow them to satisfy you immediately? I never understand these threads that gripe about how something was handled because you weren't willing to speak directly with a sales person. Is there some kind of social phobia involved when you'd rather leave notes, emails, and PMs rather than just dialing 10 digits and getting it right the first time? It only makes sense to call even out of courtesy to AGO so that they don't have to go to the trouble of a refund just to give you a discount. The credit card companies and PayPal charge a fee for EVERY transaction so it's very inconsiderate to nickel and dime someone who's doing YOU a favor. Just my $.02

Moral: take 2 minutes and call next time, the time invested in the PMs, online ordering, and rant post definitely took longer.

Sorry guys, lesson learned... Problem solve too!! I was overacting, should have called right away, etc.

Sorry to AG and members as well. And I only created this thread and the one on AGO.

Nothing negative about them will def. Order again soon.

Mods please close this thread, thanks
