Foggy and rainy days, a good time to work on an amazing car. Into the garage to wash the car. I used 2 buckets, Meg's NXT shampoo and Meg's sponge. I taped the car up. As the roof was freshly maintained I taped it completely too. The more time you spend taping, the less you need to clean the car from compund remainings afterwards. I scanned the car for imperfections. Front right fender swirled with some deeper scratches here and there.. The hood was interesting. Here are the remaings after a big bird poo. Judging from the size it must have been that huge yellow guy from Sesame Stree.... There was something on the hood, you could feel it under the fingers and see it as the reflections were less sharp and foggy. Clay cond not do anything about it. Overspray? The car was not repainted. Whatever. The rest are classic scratches. Right rear fender: Trunk: Swirled around the M: Rear bumper. The horror. I used Makita 9227cb and 3M orange, yellow and blue pads with 3M Extra Fine and Ultrafina SE. I experimented with techniques a bit. Then I removed the tapes, washed the car with Meg's shampoo and Sonus mitt and dryed it with CG Miracle Dryer, here are the results on left rear fender: Trunk, almost all gone, the biggest defect is the compound remains. Hood almost perfect now. Zderzak, który wygląda nieporównywalnie lepiej. I gave the car an IPA wipedown in preparation for LSP. I decided to go for Swissvax Concorso. Thin layer on, time for a power break. Sonax and Swissvax microfiber towels hepled me to remove the LSP. Here are the results. Thank you for looking.
