Pete's 53 or Rainforest Rub

Hi Guys,

I need recommendations please.
I would like to get some inputs on the CG Pete's 53 and the Dodo Rainforest Rub.
There are deals on these 2 right now, which I think they are both around $40 right now.

My rides are Graphite Pearl Accord, and an Ocean Mist Odyssey.

Can't speak for DODO but Pete's 53 really bring out the shine and flakes in the paint. Super ease on/off too.

 

yeah i have never used Dodo products though i have wanted to.

Even though you didn't list it i personally like CG 50/50 which is very similar to Pete's 53

so i would say Pete's 53

I believe its 16oz of wax, and every bit as good as the other two.

 

I've had a tin of that for about a year. Guess I should bust it open! LOL

 

Pete's 53 gets my vote for its very smooth texture and sharp shine.

50/50 is a very different wax to Pete's 53. Both are worth having, but Pete's 53 has better shine IMO, while 50/50 is a pleasure to use and has slightly better durability.

 

petes 53 hands down.

 

Pete's smokes rainforest!!! Rainforest did not impress me at all.

 

Never had rainforest, but I love the sheen from Pete's!

 

my admittedly limited testing with Dodo waxes didnt really impress me

and everything ive tried from CG has, especially E-zyme

so on that basis, my vote is Pete's

 

woot woot . . . . . 50/50 is like butter literally. Goes on super easy and removal is a breeze.

 

you can't go wrong with Pete's ... but 50/50 is a great wax too

 

ugh. i also cant decide between petes 53, 50/50, and rainforest rub. the opinion here seems to be ditch the dodo.

man...the desire for wax is never satisfied

Question though, has anyone used both Pete's 53 and Pinnacle Signature Series?

I would like some Pro's and Cons with those 2.

SSII is an eassy on and off wax, looks great, repels dirt nicely only down side is durability. My wifes Accord was waxed 2 weeks ago with SSII and after all the pollen and some bird poop it rained and looks almsot like it was washed with a car soap.

 

i prefer petes although 50/50 does work very well

 

Pete's 53 is an excellent wax, it was the first CG wax I ever bought...really nice depth of shine and very nice on Metallic paints. But I have long finished my tub of '53 and in the future I'd like to try the 50/50 paste wax as you get double the product but not much more money.

 

idlove to try more waxes in the future. but after useing swissvax for a couple yearsnow . i dont think i need to try others.. im thrilled with swissvax. easy on and easyer off. and nice durability . and great deepglossy look. and im still on my first tub:applause:
